The Woods – Saint Louis Scott Gallagher (formerly Vetta Woodlands) expands SLSG’s training footprint and reflects the club’s long-term commitment to player development across the St. Louis region. Located in Cottleville, MO, The Woods provides critical space to support SLSG’s continued growth and year-round programming for players and families.
The facility features a combination of indoor and outdoor training environments, including multiple full-size outdoor grass fields with future turf conversion planned, an indoor turf field, and on-site amenities such as administrative offices and concession space. This versatility allows SLSG to deliver consistent training, games, and club programming throughout all seasons.

The Woods Welcome Day – You’re Invited!
Join us on Saturday, April 4th from 2:00–5:00 PM at The Woods for a fun Welcome Day as we welcome new players and families into the SLSG community as well as welcome current SLSG families to the new facility.
This family-friendly event is designed to help you connect, explore, and celebrate the start of an exciting new chapter in our SLSG history.
Enjoy free food, a spring egg hunt, fun games, a photo booth, music, and more — all in a welcoming, relaxed environment.

Why is the club pursuing The Woods facility?
The Woods allows us to better serve families by offering high-quality training opportunities closer to home, while continuing our commitment to player development across the entire club. The Woods is a new facility within Saint Louis Scott Gallagher, not a new club.
When is the next Interested Player Kick-Around scheduled for The Woods?
The next IPK is expected to take place in March. More details will be shared as dates are finalized.
How many fields will The Woods have, and will they be grass or turf?
The Woods will feature three outdoor fields. Plans include one lighted turf field anticipated for Fall 2026, one lighted grass field, and one grass field without lights. This mix allows for flexibility across training, events, and seasonal needs.
When can teams begin practicing at The Woods?
Teams can begin scheduling practices now, pending availability. Practice coordination and field usage requests should be submitted to Dan Tapko.
When will the indoor field be available for use?
The indoor field will be available for team practices beginning April 6. Scheduling will be handled through team requests and should be submitted to Dan Tapko.
Will specialty training be offered at The Woods?
Yes. All specialty training programs currently offered at World Wide Technology Soccer Park will also be available at The Woods, providing consistent development opportunities across locations.
What age groups will be based at The Woods?
The primary focus will be on forming teams for ages 6–12, though older teams may also train or compete at the facility as opportunities allow.
Will all platforms be required for teams at The Woods?
No. Platform participation will depend on what best serves each team’s needs. Not all platforms are required.
Will games and events be hosted at The Woods?
The Woods allows us to better serve families by offering high-quality training opportunities closer to home, while continuing our commitment to player development across the entire club.
Will teams have access to goals and training equipment at The Woods?
Yes. Teams will have access to essential training equipment, including goals, cones, balls, and pinnies.
Will club fees differ by location or increase due to The Woods facility?
No. Club fees remain consistent across all SLSG locations for each age group and platform. Any future fee adjustments would follow the club’s normal review process and reflect standard increases over time, not a direct surcharge tied to The Woods facility.
