In loving memory of Sergeant Colin Arslanbas, we’re proud to support the 2nd Annual Memorial Tournament to honor his legacy and support his family. While all team spots are filled, you can still sponsor a hole to show your support. Help us surround Gracen and the Arslanbas family with the strength of our SLSG community. 💙💚
🚨 Staff Announcement 🚨
SLSG is thrilled to welcome Coach Ben Perkins to our full-time staff!
Ben will be working alongside Youth Director Mitch Hunt, supporting the development of our youngest age groups. He’ll continue as Head Coach of the U11 Academy Pool, lead sessions in Soccer School, and take charge of the U9 Youth Academy Training Group.
A product of SLSG himself, Ben went on to play in the National Final with Lindenwood University. For the past 10 years, he’s played a key role in our Youth Academy, most recently as Head Coach of our top U10 and U11 Academy Navy and Green teams, capturing multiple Super Copa titles and helping shape some of the club’s brightest talent.
Off the field, Ben is a proud dad — his daughter Jody was a dancer, and his son Ben is an SLSG alum now playing D1 soccer at SIUE. He’s a passionate fan of Manchester United and Barcelona, a die-hard lover of Schottzies Pizza, and yes — during tournaments, he can grow a rally mustache in just two days.
“Ben is one of the top youth coaches in the country and we’re so excited to finally have him full-time. His creative, high-energy sessions and genuine connection with players and families make him truly special. Ben makes it fun.”
— Coach Ken Godat
The future is bright — and even brighter with Coach Ben on board. Welcome to the full-time team! 💚⚽ #SLSG #GallagherFamily
With the summer season wrapping up and fall just around the corner, we want to say thank you to our staff.
Your dedication, teamwork, and flexibility have made a lasting impact — not only on our players, but on each other.
It’s rare to find a team that feels like family. We’re lucky to have you. #family
A true legend of the game, and a pillar of St. Louis soccer.
All of us at St. Louis Scott Gallagher are deeply saddened by the passing of Coach Pete Sorber. His legacy goes far beyond the national titles and awards—Coach Sorber helped shape generations of players and coaches with passion, humility, and love for the game. His influence will always be a part of our club, our city, and our soccer family.
Our thoughts are with the Sorber family and all who were lucky enough to know him.🤍
