| SLSG Alumni Team Ream is first SLSG Player to sign in the EPLSLSG Alumni Team Ream becomes the first SLSG player to sign in the English Premier League! Premier League club Bolton has completed the signing of St. Louis defender from the New York Red Bulls in a $3.9 million transfer move.
The 24-year-old Ream will replace English defender Gary Cahill in the Bolton backline. Cahill recently moved to Chelsea.
Ream, who signed a three-and-half-year long contract with the Premier League club, had been tracked by a number of English clubs according to Bolton head coach Owen Coyle.
"Tim was trailed by a couple of clubs, including West Brom and Arsenal, so it's great that he sees his future here," Coyle told BBC.com. "He is young, has a tremendous attitude and a winning mentality. I know he will fit in well with the rest of the squad."
Tim grew up playing with SLSG, played is college ball at SLU and then went on to play 58 games with the Red Bulls. He has played seven times for the U.S. national team.
"I knew there was interest in me when I came over last year and trained for a couple of weeks, then after Christmas things started to ramp up," said Ream. "Being able to play against Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal in the Emirates Cup [last summer for Red Bulls] gave me an insight and knowledge into what I need to be successful here."

| SLSG Alumni forward Mike Roach Drafted by RevolutionSLSG Alumni forward Mike Roach (SLU/Chaminade) was drafted by the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft. Roach was the No. 3 pick in the fourth round.
Roach transferred to SLU after his freshman season at Indiana and made an immediate impact as a Billiken. During his sophomore season in 2009, Roach led the team with 24 points (11G, 2A) and guided the Billikens to the A-10 Tournament title, earning Most Outstanding Player honors at the tourney in the process. | SLSG Alumni Defender Tommy Meyer Drafted by LA Galaxy!SLSG Alumni Defender Tommy Meyer (SLUH / Indiana University) went to the LA Galaxy in the first round of the 2012 Major League Soccer SuperDraft held Thursday in Kansas City.
Meyer capped off his Indiana career with first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2011. He started all 22 matches as a senior and finished his career as a starter in 79 of 81 matches played. This year he led the team and finished second in the Big Ten in assists with seven, while also anchoring the IU defense to eight shutouts.

| SLSG Alumni Blake Miller - U.S. U23 Training Camp SelectionSLSG Alumni Blake Miller (daughter of Coach Gary Miller) has been named to the U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team training camp in Sarasota, Florida (Jan. 15-22). Blake is a Senior at West Virginia University and made first team All-BigEast.
This will be the first training camp under new U-23 WNT head coach Randy Waldrum. Several players from the camp are expected to be taken in the WPS Draft on Jan. 13. For more on this story

| SLSG Alumni AJ Cochran U.S. U20 National Team Training Camp SelectionSLSG Alumni and University of Wisconsin freshman defender AJ Cochran was been selected to attend the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team training camp in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The 36-player training camp is being held Jan. 2-9.
Wisconsin Head Coach John Trask, "AJ had a great first year with us and to see him be called in by Tab (Ramos) the new U-20 National Team coach, shows that he's on the radar of the Federation and hopefully he'll enjoy a great soccer experience down in South Florida."
Cochran was a unanimous selection to the Big Ten's All-Freshman Team in 2011. The SLSG Alumni started in 18 games for the Badgers, scoring one goal and recording three assists for five points. More on this story - click here

| SLSG’s Logan Panchot - U.S. U14 National Team Training Camp SelectionSLSG Missouri Boys' Logan Panchot recently returned from the U.S. Under-14 Boys National Team domestic training camp as part of the 2011 Thanksgiving Interregional in Chula Vista, Calif.
"I would like to congratulate Logan on his recent success on being selected to the national pool and goal he scored in one of the games there. What a great role model for any young player, he does have god given ability but its his work rate and desire that separates himself from the other players. The word ”can’t” is not in his vocabulary. The event is composed of the U-14 BNT players born in in 1998 and all four United States Youth Soccer regions born in 1997 and 1998. The U.S. will brought a total of 36 players to the camp and split the roster into two teams.
