Congratulation to the St. Louis Falcons/SLSG Men's Over-40 team who won the National Championship held in Nashville, TN last weekend. The team avenged last year's overtime penalty-kick loss with a 1-0 victory after Bobby Kittner was able to get on the end of Greg Drozda's driven cross at the far post with a diving header in the 7th minute of overtime. It was their third trip to the finals in four attempts, and this year's pool consisted of 14 teams from within the United States and Europe. The team went 5-0 while scoring 27 goals and only allowing one goal scored. All but four of the 24-man roster are still current members of the SLSG family in the form of coaching or having children playing in the club.
