The ECNL post-season events, termed the National Playoffs and Championship, are both "qualifying events" and include 240 of the 320 ECNL teams U14 through U18/19.

The National Playoffs are scheduled annually for late June brings together the best players and teams across the country to compete for a National title making it the pinnacle of all events/showcases in the country. Depending upon the age group, the National Champion may or may be crowned in June at the National Playoffs event (U14 & U18), or instead, on the National Championship weekend in July (U15, U16, U17).

Champions League Qualification

In the U14 through U17 age groups, 30 teams automatically qualify based solely on their Conference games. The next best 10 teams are placed into a wildcard pool. These 10 teams are selected from any of the eight conferences, but based only from points-per-game in Conference league play. Once the 10 teams are finalized, the teams are ranked on points-per-game from both Conference and National Event games played. The best 2 teams will qualify for the Champions League. The exception to the wildcard qualification is in the u14 age group. Only points earned in Conference league play will be counted.

The qualifying 32 teams will play in a round robin format at the National Playoffs in June. The 8 teams who win their respective round-robin bracket will advance to compete in the quarterfinals, the final matches of the National Playoff weekend. The winners of each quarterfinal final will then advance to the National Finals in July (a two-game weekend).

In the U18 age group, the top 2 teams from each conference qualify for the Champions League National Finals to be hosted in June at on National Playoff weekend. Only points earned in regional league play can count for qualification.
