Kevin Kalish formally joined St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club as a full-time employee this week. Kalish previously split his time between SLSG and the SIUE Men’s Division I Soccer Program as their head coach. After resigning from SIUE last week, Kalish will now devote his full-time efforts to SLSG and its mission of becoming the best youth soccer club in the country. ” I am extremely excited about the future of the club and look forward to contributing to the ongoing development of the players and coaches as we strive to be one of the best clubs in the country. SLSG has shown a strong commitment to developing players on and off the field and I believe in the mission and people within the organization, said Kalish”
Kalish spent many years on the management team of Scott Gallagher Soccer Club, prior to the merger that brought Scott Gallagher, St. Louis Soccer Club and Metro United Soccer Club together in 2008. During that time, he helped grow the club into a nationally competitive program in boys soccer. The tradition of Scott Gallagher has always been marked by high level, successful soccer and total player development.
As Director of Missouri Boys, Kevin will continue to lead and oversee more than 100 boys teams in Missouri. “SLSG is excited to begin a new era in which Kevin devotes 100% of his time and talent to our club. With a narrower focus, we believe Kevin can have a great impact on the boys division and the club as a whole,” said Patrick Barry, Executive Director of SLSG. “Personally, I am extremely happy for Kevin that he will be able to have one focus professionally – while spending more time with his family.”
St. Louis Scott Gallagher SC is a soccer club operating soccer programs for players of all ages and skill levels, with three soccer facilities throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area. More information can be found at www.slsgsoccer.com.
