COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – Laura Ridolfi has joined St. Louis Scott Gallagher Illinois on a full-time basis as Assistant ECNL Director. She takes over as head coach of the SLSG IL U15 and U16 ECNL teams, and will serve as assistant coach for the U14 ECNL side.
“I’m very excited about this new opportunity,” Ridolfi said. “I am looking forward to being a part of the experienced and knowledge staff at SLSG while contributing to the continued growth and success of the club.”
Ridolfi played for Metro United as a youth player from 2002-2007. She then attended Eastern Illinois University, where she was a four-year letter-winner with the Panthers’ women’s soccer program.
She began coaching at SLSG Illinois in 2012, assisting with several of the club’s ECNL teams and acting as head coach at the U11 and U12 age groups.
“Working with the club over the last three years has helped me grow vastly as a coach and as an individual,” Ridolfi added. “It is a pretty humbling experience to be able to give back to a club that allotted me so many opportunities as a player.”
Ridolfi currently holds a “D” Coaching License from U.S. Soccer.
“With her past history with the club as a player and a part-time coach, Laura has shown her commitment and passion to help drive the program in the right direction,” IL Girls Director of Coaching Shawn Hewitt said. “She continues to impress the staff and families with her work rate and ability to make connections with her players. We are very pleased and fortunate to have Laura join our staff.”
